Salmon of Knowledge

In Irish mythology, the Salmon of Wisdom is the wisest of all creatures. It gained its knowledge by eating the magical hazelnuts that fell into the sacred Well of Wisdom. Whoever first tasted the enchanted salmon was granted insight, inspiration, and poetic vision.
